About Phil

Hello, and welcome. My name is Eddy Scott, and I am a qualified and dedicated educator with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as an Honors degree in Information Technology. I have a solid academic foundation combined with hands-on teaching experience, including work in inclusive education and special educational needs (SEN/LSEN) environments.

I pride myself on being a professional, reliable, and well-prepared teacher who values respect, structure, and clear communication. My lessons are carefully planned to suit each learner’s level, learning style, and pace. I believe that real understanding comes from breaking complex ideas into manageable steps, and I take the time to ensure that students feel confident before moving on.

Students can expect a calm, supportive, and focused learning environment where questions are encouraged and progress is consistently monitored. I place strong emphasis on building both academic skills and self-confidence, especially for learners who may have struggled in the past.

I am honest about my strengths and capabilities, and I teach within my areas of qualification and experience. My goal is not only to help students improve their results, but also to help them develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude toward learning — particularly in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Information Technology.

I look forward to working with motivated learners and supporting them in achieving their academic goals.

About the lesson

I am a qualified and experienced educator with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Mathematics and Computer Science and an Honours degree in Information Technology. My teaching approach blends strong academic structure with practical, real-world application, especially in technology-related subjects.

What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex concepts into simple, logical steps, making learning accessible and confidence-building for every student. I place a strong emphasis on patience, respect, and adaptability, particularly when working with learners who need additional support or alternative learning strategies. My background in inclusive education and special educational needs has shaped a calm, supportive teaching style where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes.
