I like to tailor my approach to students depending on their learning styles. The first session gives me a chance to go over the topic with the student to see which areas we need to focus on, to learn how they enjoy learning and to understand their ability to pay attention. This will help me to structure following lessons so that the student can maintain interest in the subject and plan how much time to put into exam questions, theory and maths games.
Mostly, I like my students to be comfortable in asking questions, to enjoy the lessons I teach and to notice their improvements in their results with this 'smart learning' approach.
Hello there! I am an engineering graduate now starting a Masters in computer science. I love mathematics and explaining its wonderful concepts to students, to inspire and aid with their progression at school. I have 1 year tutoring experience with 6 students all between 8-18, for SATs preparation, GCSEs and A level preparation. I helped these students break through grade boundaries, with recognition of their improvements from their teachers and parents.
