My teaching methods may vary from student to student, since everyone learns best in different ways, but fundamentally I try to find where and what area the student struggles with and find resources to go through with them to help them understand these topics.
I teach both A-level and GCSE. With each new student I start with an introductory lesson, where we work out what exactly it is that you find difficult, any topics you might be struggling with and other areas you might want us to go through together.
I provide a friendly and easier way to do Mathematics and provide ample of examples which will make the subject interesting to you. I provide with practice sheets and provide revision lectures during exam time. I have a very friendly and positive approach.
Like teaching motivated students. doesn't matter if you are confident with the subject yet or not. All I ask for is the willingness to learn. I teach A Level Maths and Further Maths students. Also, consider GCSE Maths Students. I have a concept-led approach and endeavour to ensure that my students understand the underlying concepts instead of simply memorising the formulae.
Demonstrate and explain a topic, do some questions together and then do some on your own with increasing difficulty with my support as needed to build your confidence and skills. Exam practice is key to improving your grades so we will also look at exam techniques and what the markers are looking for.
I possess a strong passion that I invest in teaching via theoretical and practical examples. I use to understand students' needs and implement those into the subjects I have to teach. So do you need a tutor who perfectly understands your needs? Here I am.
I base my classes on a student by student basis I kid to cater to each student individually
I approach each topic of maths by accumulating student's knowledge in a positive and passionate manner and engage the students. I believe that it is important to give a background to each topic and then go onto the fundamentals to ensure that the students understand the full depths of a mathematical topic and the meaning of specific formulae and theorems.
My approach to teaching is methodical and efficient. Through my time in education, I have got to know which methods work best for which topics and which do not so I can gear my lessons towards each student and their specific learning style. My lessons follow a logical and effective routine. Before the lesson I will prepare notes on the topic to be studied.
My preferred teaching method would be either we both work through problems throughout the session where we workout the best way to approach the question.
I tend to run tutoring sessions by introducing an idea or topic, running through a few example questions with the student before aiding them as they independently tackle some questions. I focus on tackling areas students are fining difficult or topics they haven't seen before.
Each topic is approached differently and adjusted to your specific needs. In general, I start by introducing the subject in an attempt to depict its utility. Afterward follows a review of the theory step-by-step with logic coherence - here is where most of the questions will come up. Continuing, I proceed with getting our hands on some exercises.
My teaching style is friendly and interactive. My aim is to consolidate a strong foundation of knowledge and build the self-esteem of the students. I will adapt the structure of my teaching to fit the learning style of the student.
I am currently at Bristol University studying Economics, Last year I tutored 2 GCSE Maths students and they both achieved their desired grade through hard work and perseverance! We can sit down, discuss the issues you are having with Maths and formulate a plan to get you to where you need to be!
I'm a first year Economics and Finance student from Warrington currently studying at the University of Bristol. I am looking to give lessons to students studying for their Maths GCSE. When I was revising for this exam I found the best way to revise was by doing lots and lots of past papers, marking my answers and then revising the topics that I didn't do as well in.
I use a mixture of modern and traditional methods to every exciting lesson and set positive and attainable goals as stepping stones to success and increased confidence. A guided and creative approach is also necessary, using a variety of tools, to lead to success.
I will try to teach every concept one-by-one and will only move on if the student understands the topic. I will also prepare a short test on that day's class to see the progress of the student. I will be able to teach maths and other science subjects upto A-level subjects (inclusive).
I have previously taught GCSE students but I am capable of tutoring A-level students through Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. I find that at this level, the best way to learn and achieve top results is to do practice questions and exam papers. In doing this, students gain the knowledge needed for their exams but also exam skills and techniques that are vital to exceeding expectations.
I am a 1st year University of Bristol Mathematics BsC student and teach students taking GCSE Maths and A Level Maths. My tutelage takes the form of a weekly lesson (or more if desired) and some homework set to encourage independent learning. I prioritise the importance of intuition in maths and deep understanding of basic concepts as paramount for more advanced learning.
I believe in learning through problem-solving. Taking your time to go through a problem is the best way to understand how to solve it. I believe in developing a friendly relationship with the students so that they become willing to tackle their queries head on with you.
I teach the concept of the topic which enables the Learner to answer any questions, no matter how it is written! Also, I must, first, find out the Learning style which suits the Learner, then plan my Lesson in a way which makes the Learner remember the topic they learned.
During my undergraduate degree, I tutored maths to a very shy student who is now flourishing, predicted an A in GCSE. I also ran study groups with other students who were struggling with the course, this grew my confidence in teaching difficult material.
My teaching method is theory and practice. I first teach the students they theory and give examples, and then challenge them with questions. Each question has a level of difficulty. Also, visual understanding is helpful, particularly in Maths - dealing with shapes, arrows and quick exam tricks.
I aim to develop a greater understanding of each topic so that the pupil can start thinking about problems the right way. I will start by seeing what areas the student struggles with and where i can help the most, that may be exam prep or a refreshing look at old work.
I like to tailor my lessons to my students' learning styles. I can provide clear explanation and tips for remembering methods and information. I enjoy one to one tutoring as it allows me to concentrate on particular worries and help individuals to build confidence in passing exams. I provide fun and memorable resources to support my students' learning elsewhere.
My teaching is method is straightforward. I first go over the theory of the topic in detail, breaking it down, then give examples of the equations or theory. afterwards, I look at two exam-style questions, the first easy and the second a bit more advanced. Once understood, I set the pupil questions, ranging from easy to hard.
My teaching methods are based on Relational understanding rather than Instrumental understanding. Therefore my goal is not only to get students competent in solving problems but to get then to understand why and how the concepts work. I am also of the belief that learning should be done in a fun way.
With maths, it is vital that basic concepts are well understood, and so it is worth spending enough time to make sure that the foundations of understanding are well established. From there example questions and exercises are very important to create a deeper understanding of the subject.
