About Nathan
Tutoring has been a fundamental part of my own academic pursuit; throughout KS4 and KS5 I had come to learn that there was no better use for knowledge than its application and communication to young learners. Running helpdesks and tutoring younger students has allowed me to better adapt concepts in maths and computer science to different modes of thinking, in addition to consolidating and strengthening my own expertise in these disciplines. On numerous occasions I have been hailed for my ability to make challenging concepts digestible and easy to grasp, and intend to continue honing this skill as research and academia are my aspirations, as opposed to a career based purely in industry. I am able to connect to younger students with relative ease, especially given that we are likely to have some common ground: in my spare time I play video games, skateboard, read horror/mystery novels, and produce music, amongst other things. This is not mentioned above as I do not want it to get confused with SL maths, which I could easily get 7s on practice papers and is significantly easier (as is Further Maths at A-Level, from which I also used past papers to practise.) I attained an overall level 5 in HL maths. I got the full IB Diploma with an aggregate score of 39.

Nathan tutored me primarily in GCSE mathematics and computing. I had previously struggled with these subjects, but was able to simplify and explain all concepts taught, so that I truly understood them at a base level.
