About Etienne
Hello ! I am Etienne, professional pianist mainly active in the field of jazz, pop and soul music. You may have heard me with Jean-Marc Padovani, Gabacho Maroc, Olivier Ker Ourio, Tom Ibarra, Nicolas Gardel, Yves Rousseau, as well as producers Otaam and Timosha.
I am also invested in classical music, accompanying artists such as baritone Philippe Estèphe or mezzo-soprano Aude Extrémo (Adami revelation), and on the harpsichord in the baroque ensemble Lyra.

With several teaching experiences at the Toulouse CRR as well as at the Toulouse Jean-Jaurès faculty of jazz musicology, I favor tailor-made learning for each of my students.
Everyone's learning needs can take very different forms and I want to allow everyone to find their way.
Although reading and using sheet music is a major asset for many musicians, jazz and contemporary music are mainly oral music.
This is why I favor learning by listening to recordings and imitating rather than sight reading - although this aspect can be worked on as well if you wish.
I can also advise you on your compositions, and lead you to create a song from an idea.
For those of you who are interested, it is also possible to work on the synthesizers and the different keyboards (creation of a sound, modifications, etc ...), as well as on the use of effects pedals.

I offer a 30-minute lesson to get to know you, and chat about my learning method and your goals.
It is possible to do two hours in a row for €100.
I am a professional musician, often on tour or on rehearsals. That's why I won't accept a lot of students, to be able to see you on a regular basis.
