My teaching method is very diverse. Rather than a 'one-size-fits-all' solution, I find that it's often better to adapt my style of teaching to each student. It's for this reason that I will ask to look through your previous work, and sit down with you (outside of teaching) to discuss where you currently are, where you want to be, and whether I can help you get there. I mainly have taught students who are studying GCSE's or are in their late KS's but I am happy to discuss any requirements you may have.
I am a student at the University of Lincoln, studying Creative Advertising. Previously, I have taught Reading and English Literature - helping those who may struggle without a little extra encouragement and assistance. The degree that I am currently studying relies greatly on Creative Writing and a solid grasp of the English Language, and so I can most definitely help on that front.
My first session will be free of charge, and will have the main purpose of reviewing your past work and current skill, and laying the groundwork for future lessons - it'll also be a great way to get to know you.
If there are travel costs for me to get to the lesson, I will discuss them at this meeting, as well as any additional charges that might occur (don't worry, this is rare).
Terry is an incredibly professional and friendly tutor, he really helped me when I was struggling with my GCSE lessons a couple of years ago. I don't think I would have made it without him, he really seemed to care about me and how I was performing, and I was never afraid to say that I was struggling or that I didn't understand. He's a brilliant teacher!
