I am looking to help other disabled students to understand and progress in their English lessons so they can gain the grades they need to go further. I am also open to working with non-dyslexic students but my method of teaching is geared towards helping with time management as well as ensuring the content of essays and assignments make sense and are well structured.
As a trainee teacher I understand that all pupils learn differently, so am prepared to create personalised learning goals for each learner. I am trained to teach across the entire primary school curriculum, so can cater for KS1 or KS2 requirements. As tutoring differs from person to person, I will spend a couple of lessons discovering the pupil's learning style.
My name is Scott, and I am passionate about English Language and Literature, and would love to support anyone who wants to develop their skills in this area or futher explore the subject if it is their passion. Four years ago I achieved a 2:1 in BA (Hons) English & Drama, and am currently studying a Masters in 21st Century Literature.
I have a friendly and enthusiastic approach to teaching, in the belief that you engage with something best when you are enjoying yourself. I have a lot of patience and am able to deliver a lesson (or series of lessons) that is tailored to the specific needs of the pupil. I am extremely flexible with my approach, allowing me to adapt to each pupil that I teach.
I give lessons to A level, GCSE and secondary education students. I like to find revision techniques which work best for each of my students in order for them to work on their weak areas.
I like to base teaching around how the student prefers to learn.
- Which subject(s) do you teach? I am currently studying English Literature in my second year at University. I have therefore relatively recently taken A level exams in both English LIterature and English Language, so feel that I can tutor these with ease.
I use an energetic approach and maintain a level of fun while increasing the interest within the topics being taught.
I approach each topic in an engaging and fun style of teaching, with an emphasis on getting the best results in exams and coursework. I use lots of audio-visual and digital resources to develop learning skills in the most exciting and memorable way. I have lots of experience teaching individual students and group classes at GCSE, A Level, BA and MA.
I'm a true believer that children need to be able to engage in their own learning through enjoyment and memorable experiences. I received a 2:1 in my Education and Geography Degree and then completed my PGCE in 7-11 years primary. I have taught in two counties , and also in a secondary school. In all observations I receive outstanding teaching.
As a tutor, I prefer to focus on one-to-one tuition. This gives me the ability to adapt my teaching style to suit the person, allowing the greatest progress and enjoyment of the sessions to be had. Learning works best when it is at the right level and therefore enjoyable.
- Classes Every student has a programme that is built just for them. They concentrate on getting to grips with topics that they are covering in school whilst also working on a parallel thread that is put together to fill any gaps that may exist in their core skills. * The MagiKats programme supports the National Curriculum. * More than tutor 'hot-housing' and more than learning by rote.
An experienced teacher of over 15 years wishing to support learners in the local area. A committed tutor who believes that all children are enriched through learning, regardless of background and circumstances.. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach the the core skills of reading, writing and mathematics for children aged between 7 to 14.
I like to begin by judging whether the student is at, i.e. what level they are currently working towards and the improvement they would like to make and how likely they are to make such an improvement. I start by seeing their basic understanding of concepts and particular topics, for example Poetry within English, before working towards improving this understanding.
Primary and Secondary experienced Literature Masters graduate. I provide intensive support for primary aged children who need to develop their reading and writing skills; KS3 and 4 support for GCSE Literature and Language (intensive support for resits also); support for undergraduate essay writing and dissertations.
