About Cora
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Studies and a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy. Over the last 9 years, I have guided students of different ages and abilities toward greater confidence and musical success. My interest in piano began through performance opportunities, collaborative music-making, and a love of musical expression. Teaching allows me to share that passion while supporting learners in meaningful ways. Watching students discover new abilities continues to inspire me.
My teaching style combines structure with flexibility. I believe every learner deserves instruction that reflects their personal goals and learning preferences. Lessons are designed to provide clear direction while allowing room for creativity and exploration. Students receive patient guidance and practical strategies that help them overcome challenges and improve steadily. This creates a positive and productive learning experience.
Outside teaching, I enjoy accompanying musicians, exploring new repertoire, and studying music education methods. These experiences help me bring fresh perspectives into lessons. Seeing students achieve goals they once thought difficult is deeply rewarding. I strive to create an environment where learning feels encouraging and enjoyable. My goal is to help learners build a lasting connection with music.

My piano lessons are built around helping students become comfortable and fluent musicians from the very beginning. I focus on developing finger independence, note-reading accuracy, rhythm awareness, coordination between both hands, dynamic control, sight-reading ability, and musical interpretation. Lessons are designed to make learning feel natural and enjoyable while building a strong technical foundation. Students learn how different musical elements work together rather than treating each skill separately. This helps create a deeper understanding of piano playing and overall musicianship.
Every learner receives lessons tailored to their goals, interests, and experience level. Some students enjoy learning popular songs and accompaniment patterns, while others focus on classical repertoire and technical development. Activities may include duet playing, rhythm exercises, keyboard harmony, improvisation tasks, ear training, and performance preparation. Clear explanations and practical exercises help students build confidence through consistent progress. Supportive feedback ensures that challenges become opportunities for growth rather than obstacles.
My goal is to help students enjoy music while developing skills that remain useful for years to come. As confidence grows, learners become more independent and expressive in their playing. Lessons encourage curiosity, discipline, and creativity. Every achievement contributes to stronger musical understanding.
