About Theresa
Teaching has been a childhood dream of mine, and being able to work with students is something I genuinely love. I bring that passion into every online lesson and strive to make learning an experience that students can enjoy and feel proud of. With a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, I have experience teaching students from kindergarten through 8th grade in classroom and online settings.
I believe the best teaching starts with getting to know each student. Every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their strengths, challenges, interests, and learning style. I also believe teaching is a two-way experience. While I am there to teach and support my students, I value learning from them and getting to know what makes each student unique.
I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking their time when they need to. My goal is to make each online lesson engaging, supportive, and meaningful while helping students strengthen their academic skills, build confidence, and develop a genuine enjoyment of learning.

I believe students learn best when instruction is personalized, engaging, and built around their individual needs. With a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and K–7 teaching experience, I bring professional classroom expertise to every lesson.
For reading and phonics, I focus on building strong foundational skills through phonics-based instruction, reading practice, comprehension activities, and guided support. I adjust lessons based on each student’s strengths, areas for growth, and learning pace.
My goal is not only to help students become stronger readers, but to help them feel confident and successful in the process. Whether a student needs support with foundational phonics skills, decoding, fluency, comprehension, or overall reading confidence, I create lessons that meet them where they are and help them move forward.
