I am a CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certified tutor. Additionally, I passed 2 courses regarding inclusivity and professionalism. My lessons are for: High school, undergraduate, or graduate students, students preparing for exams (e.g., SAT, GRE), struggling with specific topics, or looking to deepen their knowledge. The subject is communication, which is English-related assignments and topics, such as essays, resumes, reading, writing, and comprehension. My teaching method is student-centered. I focus on the student's active engagement and understanding of the material. My typical 1-hour lesson plan: Preparation (5-10 minutes) Review previous material and address questions. Introduction of New Material (15-20 minutes) Engagingly present the topic, for instance, real-life examples or related videos. Break concepts into smaller chunks for better understanding. Practice (15-20 minutes) Work through examples together, carefully explaining each step. Encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions. Independent Practice (10-15 minutes) Assign problems or tasks for students to try solving independently. Observe and provide immediate support if and where needed. Review (5-10 minutes) Summarize key takeaways from the lesson. Assign homework and/or suggest resources for further understanding. Discussing the next lesson plan.
