About Finn
I emphasize open communication and connection with students to ease anxiety, build confidence, and more easily identify where they feel they're struggling. A tutors most important job is to convince the student they're more than capable of accomplishing their goals with the right effort and attitude, a goal I strive to accomplish with every student.

I'm big on detailed feedback and learning from mistakes. Going over previous work to see where improvements could be made is a major component of how I teach.
My lessons are guided to the highschool level, with the goal of preparing students for the writing styles and expectations they'll be seeing in college. These lessons are applicable across many subjects and disciplines, from writing English essays to research papers for soft sciences like Sociology.
