About Caitlin
I am passionate about supporting students in developing strong reading, writing, and communication skills. Sharing my love of learning with others brings me joy, and I prioritize highlighting literary works by diverse authors. My teaching philosophy encompasses interdisciplinary literacy instruction, as I
incorporate history, art, and anti-racist pedagogy to broaden students’ global awareness and foster their identity development. I encourage my students to pursue their intellectual interests, deconstruct texts in the traditional literary canon, and explore contemporary connections whenever possible.
I possess a B.A. in English & Art History from Georgetown University and an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education. My educational background attests to my commitment to excellence, and I have experience working with students with various learning styles.
