About Shelby
I take a highly personalized, evidence-informed approach to learning by analyzing each student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style before instruction ever begins. Using occupational analysis principles, I break down complex or abstract material and transform lectures and assignments into meaningful, real-world learning activities that actively engage the student. Rather than relying on memorization or repetitive drills, I focus on helping students truly understand and apply what they are learning in a way that builds confidence, independence, and long-term academic success.

I take subjects that are difficult for students to understand and apply and turn them into learning activities that best fit the student's needs. I take a very personalized approach and analyze the student's abilities and needs, through occupational analysis tactics. Information is transformed from a student's lecture or assignment into a real-world learning activity that helps the student actually want to understand the material better. Students learn better when they are actively engaged in what they are learning.
