About Miah
I've had more experience with elementary school children and underclassmen (in high school) with tutoring for the past four years. I've taught regular math, algebra, all English-related subjects, including AAC and AP, and social studies. Every single student shows that they want to improve, which never gave me any problems, and are comfortable enough to be themselves. I, deeply, encourage students to be their honest and creative selves because of the impact it has on their work.

My method is getting to know the student and their study patterns and finding ways to help improve them. Confidence is key to helping a student with their work. I ensure new concepts along with what they're learning to expand their critical thinking. I can provide any visual aids, handouts, and other digital resources if needed. I like to incorporate real-world examples to help the student understand better. One of my favorite techniques is the student-teach-the-teacher method, where the student recalls/shows what they learn, and I can show them a different and more effortless way.
