About Ruby
I am an approachable and easy-going person with a fun and bubbly attitude. I pride myself in my organisational skills as well as my ability to interact and connect with people from all different backgrounds.
Throughout my schooling I have been consistently recognised for my performance in English, having my work published in school magazines, as well as receiving awards such as my school's Literature Prize and a Premier's Award for spelling to name a few. I especially enjoy using my skills to help my friends and classmates with their studies - this is how I found my love for tutoring!

I take on clients of all abilities and needs from Prep - Year 12, always aiming to provide a fun, safe and productive environment within my sessions. I normally offer 30 minute and 1 hour slots, but I am open to altering/extending upon request.
In the best interest of my students, I typically employ a student-driven approach, allowing my clients to lead the session. This ensures our focus remains on what is important and/or needs development, while also keeping sessions interesting.
For my younger clients, I am able to take charge and lead the session, however, I am more than happy to incorporate parents' ideas, focusses and feedback as well. Parents are also welcome to join us during sessions.
I have a broad teaching repertoire, ranging from basic skills such as literacy, reading, spelling and grammar, all the way to argument analysis, text response and comparative essays, close analysis, literary perspectives/lenses (psycho-analytical, marxist, etc), plus much more!
