About Amra
I am a 22 PhD student in biomedical engineering. I enjoy designing implantable medical devices, practicing martial arts, lifting weights, and playing video games. I believe that carefree fun and academic excellence can and should coexist. I have never met a child that does not love sci-fi, legos, and dinosaurs, but the seriousness of traditional education destroys our innate curiosity. When you restore the joy to learning, academic success comes effortlessly.

As an engineer, I emphasize problem solving in all areas. I help my students to develop a deep understanding of the fundamental principles underlying a subject rather than memorizing facts and techniques. This allows students to develop the problem solving skills that will transcend our sessions and place them in a position to succeed. I believe that a teacher's role is to guide a student along their own learning process rather than simply provide information.
