My approach to teaching Maths is to engender confidence in my students by showing that they can master each step. It is necessary to establish what they have missed or find difficulty with. I am a British certified teacher with many years experience of helping students to understand Maths.
I am passionate about teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals. My journey into tutoring started when I started scheduling for other students; I have conducted personal training for colleagues and juniors alike I love passing my experience and knowledge in management, programming, networking etc. to other students and everyone interested in learning something new.
My teaching methodology is very task and subject oriented, I make sure my students understand the subjects very well! Tutoring for me was a way of understanding my subject and making it easier for my students, i try to make my classes easy, relative, visual and engaging.. Teaching is just not about imparting knowledge, its about building a connection and learning how to teach a specific learner.
My approach is totally based on student, I will first listen to the student and then try to develop notes as per his/her understanding. I am open to taking lectures that falls into my area of expertise. I am more focused towards building concepts by developing the lectures as simple as possible.
I consider myself a very friendly and approachable tutor who teaches in a rigorous way that gets my students to think, but which also inspires confidence in them. When it comes to maths, I pride myself on being able to teach to all ages and abilities and to explain complex ideas in a simple manner.
I’d like to plunge into various educational issues and I aim at understanding them thoroughly. I am very analytical so that I always explain concepts and key points through many examples. I always simplify complicated problems and give an overall view; then I focus on details and convey my ideas to students.
1) recognising the pattern , concept or rule being applied. 2) Model applicable situations and exam style questions. 3) Have you repeat the pattern, concept or rule with similar exam style questions.
Physics may seem complicated and boring, but is instead almost always simple and can be fascinating when taught properly. I propose my help to anyone willing to improve its understanding or obtain better grade. Note that I am particularly interested in following the progresses of students on a long term, but I can also help for the preparation of exam.
I will give maths lessons up to A level standard, covering all A level modules.
I work with students from ages 5-16 years old. I like to provide 1-1 help with studies as many students wish to have extra support from a teacher that can dedicate more time to them. I am an organised tutor, who likes to prepare lessons based on how my students learn best and what their preferred learning style is.
My teaching style is based on evidence: ● Evidence of your Growth: Every lesson you will have a sheet of problems solved -- proof of new abilities. ● Evidence of our Direction: Every lesson you get a copy of its plan for your learning diary -- including notes on your input.
How a lesson is structured really depends on the age range of the person I'm teaching, for younger children I would have a more relaxed lesson structure and for older people, I might be able to move faster with a starter, which would relate to the previous lesson and then I would get into the main topic carefully explaining each point and then we would finish off with a pleanary.
I am a primary school teacher, who specialised in mathematics in my undergrad. After receiving a 1st class honours degree with QTS I have decided to tutor whilst completing my Masters in SEN Education. As I am new to tutoring from whole class teaching I have a small but growing number of students who are showing their true potential and determination to make progress.
I adapt my explanations to the students and their goal. I like to go deep into the subject and take time to explain in detail, giving many examples and practising with many exercises. In my experience, this is the best way to help the students become autonomous quickly, and not need any more regular tutoring.
I focus a lot on the 'quality over quantity' approach by going in depth of the topics until my student has an intuitive understanding of the subject. This allows for a smoother transition between topics and an elevated confidence level.
I start teaching with the extreme basics of the subject, giving a thorough overview of what's going on and slowly approach towards the practical use of the subject. I pre-plan things to teach and the medium of teaching is English.
Each lesson I will teach in a way to fit the needs of the pupil, these may include: - Staying ahead of the Syllabus taught in school, by teaching the syllabus on a weekly basis, allowing the pupil to have a better grip on a topic by the time they are scholastically introduced to it.
I am graduate engineer and currently doing my masters. and I have home tutoring experience of more than 4 years . My students are very satisfied with my teaching abilities and teaching method. I take care of student questions and try to teach student by understanding his/her real problem and real level of understanding.
I believe that with practise comes perfection. Therefore, I go through questions and topics my clients struggle with in class and send them off to do more practise in between lesson so that they can truly improve.
I love teaching by doing examples in a collaborative way and being very vocal about my reasoning process - I feel like that is the best way to learn reasoning patterns and to inherit curiosity. As a tutor, I am enthusiastic but patient and tend to get rather excited about seeing students improving in their problem-solving abilities.
My teaching method is very much focused on practice questions. This allows for the skills gained to be tailored towards the exam and have practical benefits. We will also go over the answers to make sure a full understanding is gained.
My approach to tutoring is to build confidence through the use of worked examples, to identify any misconceptions and to solidify any weak areas through repetition. Through past tutoring, I have learnt the importance of patience and encouragement in getting the best out of a tutee.
During lessons i first like to recap what we did in the previous lesson then tell the student what i am going to teach them this lesson and then teach it to them before recapping what we just learnt. This is a known teaching practice which helps the student subconsciously process the information by repeating it four times over two lessons.
My teaching method is to customise lessons to the particular student. I base my classes on what will help the student achieve their goals. I approach each topic by attaching a real life situation to it, aiding the students understanding.
True learning only comes when one is able to explain the concept on his own. This is the level of proficiency I want all students to achieve, to be able to deal with their subject matters fluently. My classes will be structured and delivered in fashion that will encourage this type of learning.
My teaching method is simple and effective, I always make the basic fundamentals clear in student's mind and teach them how to relate those tricks while approaching any problem. Basics help students to solve critical numerical with ease using small tricks.
When teaching GCSE maths, I think its important to firstly make sure that whoever you're teaching is comfortable with you and feels like they can always approach you with questions, no matter how simple the questions may seem. Afterwards, a brief conversation about the pupil's strengths and weaknesses would help me find out which areas of maths we ought to dedicate more time towards.
I am very flexible with my teaching style, and will adapt to what suits you best. Further, I believe in being patient with students and help promote understanding through real life applications. I can tutor anything up to and including A level Maths.
My teaching method is to find out how the pupil learns and adapt the lessons to them. My experience in a Primary School setting allows me to break down maths topics to easier segments. I want to ensure the learner has good knowledge and understanding of a topic before moving on to the next targeted area.
I base my classes on the syllabus that is to be covered. The amount of matter covered in each class is based on the grasping ability of the student. I teach based on examples and practice problems since I believe that the more you practice, the better you learn.
