I find the best way to structure my lessons is always student dependent. I put a lot on emphasis on you understanding the concepts you need to use and always want to make sure you are comfortable asking as many questions as you want.
My teaching methodology is very task and subject oriented, I make sure my students understand the subjects very well! Tutoring for me was a way of understanding my subject and making it easier for my students, i try to make my classes easy, relative, visual and engaging.. Teaching is just not about imparting knowledge, its about building a connection and learning how to teach a specific learner.
I believe in learning by practice. After explaining any part I would solve with my students plenty of examples and practice on past papers. Also, I would like always to link the maths with what my students are planing to do in future to prove that we use maths in our daily life.
My teaching method is based on making the least work for myself — no, seriously! I think the student needs to be doing the heavy lifting. I’m there to ask the right questions at the right time and to point the way when the way isn’t clear even after the questions.
I'll try to teach as simple as possible to make students understand easily. As per their understanding i'll give some excercises for them to work. I completed my engineering graduate after which i was working as network admin. Now i'm doing my masters programme in Middlesex University.
I am very confident up to GCSE level and can also tutor SATs level. I believe a passion for learning is the best way to learn. I have a great passion for learning and teaching maths. I hope to be able to transfer this passion on to the student. In the first lesson I would like to find weaker topics for the student and make a lesson by lesson plan of topics to cover and the best way to do this.
I like to tailor my sessions to the individual needs of each student and whether it's finding exercises on particular topics or working on exam technique, I will find what works best.
Subsequently I have worked with Years 2 to 6 in primary schools, as well as more teaching of KS3 Maths in secondary schools. As a class teacher I have become skilled at teaching, planning, assessing and levelling children, as well as organising and assisting duties and tasks.
How a lesson is structured really depends on the age range of the person I'm teaching, for younger children I would have a more relaxed lesson structure and for older people, I might be able to move faster with a starter, which would relate to the previous lesson and then I would get into the main topic carefully explaining each point and then we would finish off with a pleanary.
I am a primary school teacher, who specialised in mathematics in my undergrad. After receiving a 1st class honours degree with QTS I have decided to tutor whilst completing my Masters in SEN Education. As I am new to tutoring from whole class teaching I have a small but growing number of students who are showing their true potential and determination to make progress.
I am a 2nd year Chemical Engineering student at University of Aberdeen. I am looking at tutoring high school students who require more in-depth lessons on their curriculum. I teach maths, chemistry, physics, and all subjects related. I can teach by going above and beyond the curriculum in order to help out with understanding of more complex principles.
I prefer teaching from the very core of the subject and just not what is asked for in the syllabus. I choose to introduce the origination every concept or idea because that is how I was taught and I find myself capable of remembering everything word-to-word till today.
I base my teaching on getting to know each child’s strengths and abilities through consistent assessment, using a wide variety of resources including online material. I base the success of lessons on nurturing confidence in the children I teach, giving them opportunities to be expressive and creative whilst also maintaining a formal structure that supports each child in their learning journey.
My teaching methods are pragmatic. I will adapt my lessons, and teachings, to best suit you. I will provide constant help, support and examples, as needed. I will insure you fully understand the techniques, details and methods required to succeed on your own. I can help with GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths and Statistics.
I focus a lot on the 'quality over quantity' approach by going in depth of the topics until my student has an intuitive understanding of the subject. This allows for a smoother transition between topics and an elevated confidence level.
I start teaching with the extreme basics of the subject, giving a thorough overview of what's going on and slowly approach towards the practical use of the subject. I pre-plan things to teach and the medium of teaching is English.
Each lesson I will teach in a way to fit the needs of the pupil, these may include: - Staying ahead of the Syllabus taught in school, by teaching the syllabus on a weekly basis, allowing the pupil to have a better grip on a topic by the time they are scholastically introduced to it.
I am graduate engineer and currently doing my masters. and I have home tutoring experience of more than 4 years . My students are very satisfied with my teaching abilities and teaching method. I take care of student questions and try to teach student by understanding his/her real problem and real level of understanding.
My teaching method is simple and effective, I always make the basic fundamentals clear in student's mind and teach them how to relate those tricks while approaching any problem. Basics help students to solve critical numerical with ease using small tricks.
Each topic is approached differently and adjusted to your specific needs. In general, I start by introducing the subject in an attempt to depict its utility. Afterward follows a review of the theory step-by-step with logic coherence - here is where most of the questions will come up. Continuing, I proceed with getting our hands on some exercises.
I think in maths the most important is to understand the problem and find the most effective solution. That's what I'm trying to teach my students how to think to find the most effective way to solve your problems. This could be use in life, at future job, basically everywhere. I want everyone to succeed because it will make the world better place to society.
When teaching GCSE maths, I think its important to firstly make sure that whoever you're teaching is comfortable with you and feels like they can always approach you with questions, no matter how simple the questions may seem. Afterwards, a brief conversation about the pupil's strengths and weaknesses would help me find out which areas of maths we ought to dedicate more time towards.
I am very flexible with my teaching style, and will adapt to what suits you best. Further, I believe in being patient with students and help promote understanding through real life applications. I can tutor anything up to and including A level Maths.
My teaching method is to find out how the pupil learns and adapt the lessons to them. My experience in a Primary School setting allows me to break down maths topics to easier segments. I want to ensure the learner has good knowledge and understanding of a topic before moving on to the next targeted area.
I create an effective class opener to outline the students weaknesses and then introduce the topic using multiple representations. I then ask the student to show me his view on the topic then solve it and have students communicate their reasoning finish class with a summary.
I base my classes on the syllabus that is to be covered. The amount of matter covered in each class is based on the grasping ability of the student. I teach based on examples and practice problems since I believe that the more you practice, the better you learn.
My teaching method is to get to know what exactly the student would like to go through in terms of topics. To walk them through those topics step by step and to get them to do some questions and then give feedback in terms of both their topical knowledge and question answering technique.
Mathematics is a true passion of mine, a gift that I fondly wish to bestow upon others. It is a psychology, a way of thinking, that gets more interesting and enthralling as the difficulty develops - my aim is to soothe this difficulty so that students can appreciate the subject for what it is, and, perhaps more importantly, to excel in their exams.
I myself am currently studying A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics & Physics - with the hope of studying Mathematics at University - and would be willing to tutor from KS2 to KS4 level in both Maths & Physics. All students are different, and so are their individual learning styles.
I am an A level student studying maths, i have a lot of experience with maths and achieved an A in my Gcses and I am also predicted an A for A level, In terms of my teaching, i prefer to explain the technique/question first and then demonstrate an example of how the question is completed, followed by giving students some basic questions and progressing them onto to harder variations, i will...
