About Maia
I am 20 years of age studying at University, and throughout my years of education I have developed an understanding of how overwhelming it can be, and so aim to help students build confidence in their learning and ideas and hopefully a passion for subject. I was peer mentor throughout year 11, helping them with a variety of problems and helping me to empathise with people of a younger age, and was also a volunteer leader with the Girl Guiding UK. I am on track to achieve a First Class Honours in my Bachelors degree in English Literature, and hope to pass on my skills and knowledge of the subject to those who need it.

I am here to help whether the student is looking towards the top grades or is struggling and needs a C/5. I take a personal and interactive approach in my sessions, listening to what the student needs and teaching in a way that motivates and encourages them even when things are difficult. Often when we break a task or a poem down in a straightforward way, it isn't nearly as difficult as it looks at first glance.
