I give KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature lessons to students who would like to push for a A*/ 8-9 mark. I have my GCSEs in English Language and Literature (Grade A). I like to focus on exam and essay technique, and want to help the student build confidence in their writing, as well as having clear plans and structures for exams.
I have been giving lessons for 1 year, and have helped over 10 students, who are predicted A-A*/ 7-9. Despite not having the experience of others, I am an A Level English Literature student (Predicted Grade A), who is currently up to date with the changing GCSE syllabus, and I am able to apply these skills into my own writing everyday.

Josephine is a trustworthy tutor because of her hard work ethic. Throughout the session I was able to comprehend the texts and analyse it on a deeper level. Not only will this help you come up with different, unique interpretations but it will allow you to stand out from the other candidates.
If you're aiming for an A or even better A* Josephine is the right person for you!
Josephine always contributes interesting ideas and builds analytical, solid arguments. She's always helping other classmates and explaining various interpretations clearly. Josephine also comes up with very creative and effective revision techniques which she shares with the rest of us, and we all find them very useful. She's a very kind, caring and fun person which makes every A-level English Literature student feels comfortable asking her for help.
Josephine is definitely one of the nicest tutors I have had, and I've had tutors for all my GCSE subjects! Since she has only done the GCSE the year before, she was able to sit with me and give me the right technique to get your A*, using her own experience of the year before. We mainly focused on exam technique, so that I had a plan and a structure for any question that could come up in the exam. Josephine's analysis of literature is so detailed, that you are able to expand her ideas into your own, and easy have a lot of content from 1 quote. The best thing is that she doesn't 'spoon-feed', so you are able to go away and do your own revision with Josephine's guide, instead of having everything given to you. I definitely recommend her!
