About Janelle
I believe that all students deserve equal education! I understand that the public school system is unfair, and some students may need more assistance in understanding certain educational standards. Having tutored students in an underprivileged neighborhood, I have experience assisting students at all levels of learning and from various sociocultural backgrounds. I am proud to say I was able to assist all the students I tutored, raising their marks by at least one letter grade. I believe that understanding the material you are learning in a digestible way, rather than rushing to complete an assignment, is the most effective way to learn.

My teaching approach as a tutor is tailored to students' needs and learning styles. This may include visual, auditory, conceptual, or verbal learning styles. A typical lesson plan would begin by reviewing material from the previous lesson and/or answering questions raised by homework or new material covered in class. We will then review new concepts and finish with a holistic review of the necessary material. These lessons are for students attending grades K-12.
