About Chloe
I am a visual artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. I specialize in alternative photography, with a particular interest in cyanotype printing. I recently completed my Master's in Visual Art at the University of South Africa (UNISA) with Distinction. The ocean is my muse and I am passionate about artistic practices that grapple with ideas about nature and environmental awareness. I aim to bring these passions into my lessons with students and to widen the interest in cyanotype printing as well as artistic considerations of nature.

My lessons focus on both theory and practical, and are tailored for all levels of experience.
Depending on the subject that a student has requested, I provide a basic background and history of cyanotype printing or the ocean as represented in art. I also discuss artists that are currently practicing with these themes in mind.
For my Cyanotype Classes, I provide a demonstration of how to approach cyanotype printing, as well as how to juxtapose such printing with other mediums, including collage, watercolor and botanical pressings. I also discuss editing and toning of prints.
For my Ocean in Artist Practice classes, I discuss various mediums that can be used to deal with the subject of the ocean and how to tailor a student's medium of choice to best grapple with environmental considerations of the ocean.
I aim to provide each student with the skills to apply either cyanotype printing and/or environmental awareness regarding the ocean to their artistic and creative endeavors.
