About Zara
I am a piano tutor with 3 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Piano. I have taught over 300 students from young beginners to advanced performers. My lessons cover classical technique, jazz harmony, pop styles, theory, and examination preparation. I am passionate about helping students develop a genuine relationship with the piano rather than just technical ability. My approach is encouraging, structured, and adapted to each individual. I use backing tracks, ear training tools, and composition apps to keep sessions engaging. I have helped students pass graded examinations and perform confidently in recitals. I work with students of all ages with genuine enthusiasm. Every lesson is an opportunity to discover something new and exciting at the piano. My piano lessons develop technique, creativity, and musical understanding progressively. Every session starts with scales and technical exercises appropriate to the student's level. Theory is taught alongside playing so students understand their music deeply. Exam students receive systematic preparation across all required areas with regular mock assessments. Creative students explore improvisation, composition, and arranging in their own style. I use backing tracks to develop timing and musical feel throughout lessons. Younger students benefit from games and visual learning tools that make concepts engaging. Adults work directly on music they love with solid theoretical grounding. I provide clear practice notes after every lesson so home practice is always productive. My goal is for every student to become a confident, expressive, and genuinely joyful pianist.
