About Esther
I am a high-achieving SS3 Arts student consistently scoring top marks especially in English and Literature. I have a deep passion for reading, writing, and breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable concepts. I have gotten a scholarship for my high performance in school. I want to teach because I know firsthand how frustrating it can be when a teacher uses boring, complicated textbook language. My goal is to be the friendly, patient peer-mentor that younger students look up to. I want to help Primary and JSS students conquer their fear of English and SS1-2 Literature, build their confidence, and prove that learning these subjects can actually be fun and exciting.

My online English and Literature lessons are designed specifically for Primary 4–6 and JSS 1–3 students who want to improve their grades, build confidence, and master their school curriculum. Because every student learns differently, I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach. I break down difficult topics into simple steps. For English Language classes, we will cover grammar rules, vocabulary building, essay writing structures, and comprehension hacks. For Literature-in-English classes, we will actively read assigned texts together, analyze key themes, study literary devices like metaphors, onomatopoeia and irony, and practice answering exam-style questions. I conduct all my classes online via WhatsApp Video Call, Zoom, or Google Meet, making it highly convenient for busy parents. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and highly interactive. I ensure the student does not just sit and listen passively, but actively participates through fun verbal exercises, real-time corrections, and short weekly quizzes to track their progress. I also provide a comfortable space where students feel safe to ask questions without fear of being judged.
