About Emma
My name is Emma, and I am a tutor with a passion for both studying and teaching the English language. I am currently earning my OSSD, and I have been working as a peer tutor with my high school for the last two years. It has been incredibly inspiring to see my students skill and attitude towards English transform completely. I have worked with students with many educational backgrounds, and I have learned so much along the way. I am the Academic Chief of student council at my school, and it has been a true gift being able to help students on an individual and large scale. My hands-on experience as both a student and a teacher has allowed me to learn what each student needs to become the most successful and happiest version of themselves.

Using the "Active Learning" teaching style has allowed me to tailor each lesson to the child who is receiving it. Active learning a reflective and interactive approach which includes case studies, critical thinking, and allows students to truly understand the content, rather than just remember it. This style of teaching engages the students and lets them enjoy learning subjects they may not have previously. I approach each student according to their needs and desires, ensuring that students feel comfortable sharing ideas and taking educated risks.
