About LAUREN
I am Lauren Davis, founder of Lauren Davis Creative, a personal branding and marketing consultancy I have run in Illinois since 2010.
I coach entrepreneurs, small business owners, and corporate professionals on digital marketing, social media strategy, personal branding, and public speaking, and I have worked with more than 400 clients across finance, healthcare, hospitality, nonprofits, and the creative/creator industries.
In a former part of my life I co-owned a vinyl record and gift shop for 16 years, and I co-founded a nonprofit I led as President for 13 years that supported more than 1,000 local small businesses.
I host The Real Personal Branding Podcast, have appeared as a guest on more than 100 other podcasts, and my work has been featured in Reader's Digest, HuffPost, and more.
I serve on the TEDx RKFD Speaker Curation Committee and have held past board of director marketing seats.
I am direct, warm, organized, and I care that you understand why and how something works rather than copying a template.
When I am not teaching, I am usually walking my two dogs spending time with my partner doing something fun in our community.

I teach digital marketing the way I have practiced it for 15 years: your real business, your real goals, and your plan that is right for you, to meet you where you are.
Every engagement starts with a goals conversation. I want to know what you are trying to grow, what you have already tried, and how much time you can realistically give this each week.
From there we build a custom plan. Some students want a full social media and content strategy. Some want to learn LinkedIn well enough to land a promotion. Some want to stop feeling lost every time they open Instagram. And all of those are good reasons to book a session with me.
A typical lesson is a working session. We take a look at your actual goal for the day, and make progress on what you need to learn together.
You may leave each session with the understanding of how something works, something finished or scheduled, or even a short list of what to do before we meet again.
I have coached more than 400 clients, I host a podcast on personal branding, and I have built and marketed my own businesses since 2006.
I explain things in plain language; I am patient with beginners, and I will tell you when a tactic is a waste of your time.
My lessons are for small business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, college students, career changers, and retirees who want to understand digital marketing and use it with confidence. No prior experience is required.
