About Raihana Yap
I am Teacher Raihana Yap Lai Kam Binti Abdullah a Chinese Muslim who is very passionate in teaching. I brought up 5 beautiful lovely children, 4 girls and my first born is a business woman, second a Doctor, third a writer, fourth a Nutritionist and my fifth is a son who is studying Law in MMU. I am currently A Freelance Homeschool Teacher teaching Maths, Science, English and BM to expatriate students. Would look forward to meeting new students from many more family backgrounds and countries

I source my teaching materials from various google for education providers, the IGCSE website and revision books by good publishers in planning my personalized lessons plan to meet individual needs for simple understanding to deliver immediate successful results. I graduated with Diploma in Montessori and have been teaching students from as early as 3 years and gradually as they grow up to 17 years old otherwise from their early childhood up to secondary education for over 15 years now. Each lesson is 1.5 hours and my first lesson would be a diagnosis on a studen’s level of understanding. Next is elaboration of topic and then we will do questions together after which the student will be given exercise on the topic. Following this, we will walk through the exercise together so the student will get an in-depth understanding of the lesson for the day. My teaching is on a fun stress free but firm approach hence I monitor progress of each individual student by giving assessment on a monthly basis so as to update myself on areas of weaknesses of each student to emphasize on enrichment of the particular area on each individual student.
