About Richard
I come out of a Hospitality Management background where i lectured various hospitality subjects, classes ranging from 20-35 students. I now do contract work lecturing Government Learnerships at various hotels in Durban. I am actively involved in my church were i have preached and given theology courses.

My name is Richard, i lectured National Diploma subjects at the International Hotel School in Westville for nine years before leaving and doing contract work for the said company. I have always favoured a learner centered method of lecturing where the teacher is both the teacher and learner at the same time. The teacher then plays a dual role as learner as well, so that the classroom extends rather than constricts the intellectual horizons. The teacher is also open to learning new things each day which he or she did not know in the process of teaching. The teacher then can become a resource rather than an authority.
