  • 1. When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

I developed an interest in Epidemiology in the third year of my undergraduate degree when I took my introductory Epidemiology course. It sparked an interest because of the breadth of topics you could study under epidemiology.
  • 2. What makes you passionate about your subject?

I love the empirical and systematic nature of epidemiology. I also enjoy the wide variety of methods employed in the field and the ability to study a wide variety of topics. My current research interests are in social inequities and their impact on mental health, something I am very passionate about.
  • 3. What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

I love learning about the projects students have going on and being able to help. During my MSc degree, I used Superprof to improve my writing skills and really enjoyed the process. My tutor was incredibly helpful and the process was so easy!
  • 4. Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

All of my instructors have been inspirational to me. I truly enjoy school -- which is my I'm still in it!
  • 5. What are your keys to success?

Examples, examples, examples! I love to draw upon current events and my own personal experiences to describe epidemiological questions.
