About Dr Deborah
I am a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner, Certified Nurse Educator, and experienced university nursing faculty member with extensive experience teaching and mentoring students in nursing and the health sciences. I am board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, which allows me to bring both a strong clinical foundation and a broad understanding of physical and behavioral health to my teaching.
Throughout my academic career, I have taught and supported students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including future nurses and advanced practice nurses. My areas of expertise include nursing, pharmacology, pathophysiology, psychiatric and mental health nursing, neuroscience, clinical reasoning, and related health sciences.
My teaching philosophy is simple: difficult material becomes manageable when it is explained in a way that makes sense. I create a professional, respectful, and encouraging learning environment where students can ask questions without feeling intimidated. My goal is not only to help you succeed in your course or exam, but also to help you truly understand the material and become more confident in your ability to apply what you have learned

My online lessons are individualized to your course, learning style, and academic goals. I focus on helping students understand complex concepts rather than simply memorize information.
