About Kisla
I have been tutoring for five years to a variety of children from ages five to twelve. I have experience working with children individually, as well as in groups. Though I tend to focus on homework supervision, I also have a vast background in language tutoring, specifically Spanish and English. The children I have worked with have shown great academic growth, some going from D's and F's to A's and B's.

Usually, I focus on early childhood children as well as elementary children (this tends to be ages five through ten), but I also have worked with children from middle school. I believe there should be a balance in the use of technology and classical methods in order to have a well-rounded education. In order to fulfill this belief, I try to use a mix of videos and interactive games along with writing and reading exercises. This would all be tailored to the age and academic level of the child. As a tutor, I believe every child has the capacity to reach their full potential, I simply help them along the way. Children, with proper guidance, should use their own skills and knowledge to discover their world and essentially, learn. I believe it is important to validate the students opinions and discoveries, using positive reinforcement as a tool to correct them when needed.
