About Melina
I have been teaching for over 20 years in many grades, but am certified in early childhood. It is my true passion to bring learning to life daily through hands-on, tactile activities to help enhance learning and make things fun for students. I have been at my current place of employment for over 12 years; the same school all three of my own children grew up at. I’ve had the privilege of building strong relationships with staff, students, and families during my time at this school.

My focus has always been on the foundational years of early childhood, grades kindergarten through three. I am a full-time early childhood education teacher who brings learning to life in my classroom daily through hands-on activities. My focus has never been teaching solely from a curriculum, but also striving to get to know the child and how they learn best. Is your child an auditory, kinesthetic, reading/writing, or visual learner? Or, perhaps a mixture of a couple? I make it my personal mission to get to know your child so that I can properly tutor them.

Details
I have a 1-hour minimum in Prescott Valley. Anything outside of Prescott Valley, I do have a 90-minute minimum per visit. I do charge a $15 travel fee per visit for further (15+) miles outside of Prescott Valley. I am not available on Sunday.
