About Mariane
I am a passionate musician, mentor and community practitioner committed to making music accessible, enjoyable and empowering for people of all ages and backgrounds.
I particularly enjoy supporting children and beginners, helping learners build confidence and creating welcoming environments where people can discover a lifelong enjoyment of music.
I sing in a few classical choirs, and as a solo jazz singer. I also play the piano, and the trumpet in community ensembles.
I have extensive experience in mentoring, combined with my community volunteering and growing tutoring practice, I offer a calm, reliable and encouraging approach, with a genuine passion for helping others learn and thrive through music.

My lessons focus on musical foundations, listening, rhythm, and building confidence. My style is gentle and fun, with structured learning and room for exploration.
Suitable for children and adult beginners. My focus is on:
• Creating a sense of safety and ease around music
• Supporting different learning styles with flexibility and enjoyment
• Building confidence alongside foundations in musical theory
• Music lessons that are not rushed or pressurised, they are a place to grow a love of music and enjoy the process.
I also have an up to date enhanced DBS, First Aid certification, Speech Therapy training at graduate level and different Early Stages Practitioner Training.
Lessons are in person, at your home or in my studio (SE London).
My studio is in a quiet, community-based location and lessons would take place on a beautiful grand piano.
