MUSIC - selection of instrument (you will need your own instrument/s) - setup, tuning and maintenance - preparation and warm-ups - action in time and taking notes - co-directing and creating - assistance with cellphone apps - theory and history. Direct communication would be best to establish clarity around expectations, questions, auditions and quotes for scheduled educational sessions. Your choice of assistance also welcome. I'd be delighted to interact, discuss, negotiate and plan. My personal experiences include a variety of musical genres and instruments. Classical Spanish guitar, Indian Bansuri flute, African Djembe, Mbira, Daf (frame drum), Dupki and Keyboard/Piano. For performers and educators, challenges are to nurture creativity, stimulate performance, ensemble work and share sound techniques. "As you all know ... in culture, we build bridges, not walls," Yo-Yo Ma said. "I've lived my life at the borders. Between cultures. Between disciplines. Between musics. Between generations."
