About Yusuf
Hi, I’m Yusuf, a UK-educated university student from England currently studying Architecture at SEGi University in Malaysia.
I completed my primary and secondary education in the UK, achieving nine GCSEs at grades 6–8 before completing a Level 3 BTEC qualification. Having studied within the British education system, I understand its teaching methods, examination expectations and curriculum.
I have previous experience tutoring children in English and Mathematics, including assessing students, preparing lessons, explaining difficult topics and providing feedback to parents. I am patient, organised and friendly, and I adapt my teaching style to each student’s confidence and ability.
I teach English, Mathematics and general academic support for primary and secondary students up to GCSE level. I am particularly suited to students who want to improve their spoken British English, pronunciation, grammar, writing and confidence.

Every student learns differently, so my lessons are adapted to the student’s age, ability and goals.
The first 30-minute lesson is a free introductory assessment. We will discuss the student’s current level, areas of difficulty and what they would like to achieve. I will then create a personalised plan for future lessons.
English lessons can include spoken English, British pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, comprehension, creative writing and homework support. Mathematics lessons focus on clear step-by-step explanations, practice questions and helping students understand the reasoning behind each answer.
Lessons are friendly and interactive, while still remaining structured and focused. Students are encouraged to ask questions without feeling embarrassed or pressured. Parents can also receive regular feedback about their child’s progress and areas that need further improvement.
Lessons are available online or in person around Petaling Jaya and selected areas of Kuala Lumpur.

Details
The free 30-minute introductory lesson includes a short assessment and a discussion of the student’s goals.
Standard lesson:RM60 per hour
Online lesson: RM55 per hour
5-hour package: RM285
10-hour package: RM540
Lesson packages must be paid in advance and can be arranged around the student’s schedule.
Online lessons are available through Google Meet or Zoom. In-person lessons are available around Petaling Jaya and selected areas of Kuala Lumpur. A small travel fee may apply depending on the location and travelling time.
Small-group lessons for siblings or friends are also available at a reduced price per student. Please contact me to discuss group size, subject and level.
