About Eleanor

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have over ten years of teaching experience at leading music schools both in Sydney, Australia and here in London. This has allowed me to develop a flexible and generous teaching practice, working with the student's individual skills and strengths to achieve the best outcome.

Currently I teach at the Kingsdale School (Dulwich), the Tri-Borough Music Hib, the Royal Borough of Greenwich Music Hub and City Academy.

I am also active as a performer in opera, cabaret and theatre. I am a former recipient of the ArtStart grant, awarded by the Australia Council for the Arts. More recently, I have performed with Pacific Opera, Spectrum Now Festival and the Manhattan School of Music Summer Voice Festival in New York.

- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

Yes

- Where and with whom did you train?

I have studied with leading voice teachers and renowned coaches. This includes Emma Matthews (Opera Australia), Neil Rosenshein (Metropolitan Opera), Matteo Della Fratte (Guild Hall School of Music) and Christine Douglas (Pacific Opera).

I charge £40 per hour, or £50 per hour for two students (e.g. siblings)

- Where do you teach?

I am based in Peckham, Southwark and I teach from my home.

- When are you available?

I have a flexible timetable, and can find times that suit the student best. This allows freedom for both my students and myself. Should a student wish to change a lesson time, then this is no problem as long as 24 hours' notice is given.

Currently, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are available.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

All ages, all levels - anyone can sing!

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I can prepare students for graded exams and auditions. This includes Trinity, ABRSM and LCM.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

Yes

- Do you have a personal message for students?

Our sessions will be completely tailored to what you want to do. This can include working on exams, auditions and performance preparation, or simply growing your confidence in singing. My teaching encompasses both Classical and Contemporary Methods, and includes key areas such as breath control, healthy vocal production, musicianship and performance.

I love helping people find their voice and connect with music they love. Learning to sing can be really empowering and it's amazing to be there when people discover these powers they never knew they had.

My teaching style is designed to bring out the best in every student.
