About Devin
I am a PhD Candidate in Electrical Engineering at the University of Calgary. I have significant experience with both analog and digital circuit design, as well as embedded systems programming.
I am passionate about teaching and am a cited author for my works related to improving engineering education.

I have taught various electrical engineering topics at the University level. My typical lesson depends on the topic. With early Electrical Engineering topics I find it more beneficial to start with the high-level conceptual understanding, ensure that the mental model is cleanly correct. Then establish the mathematics from there. I am published talking about my teaching strategies and can comfortably direct you in most courses through an electrical engineering degree. Some of the later topics like advanced power systems and late degree control systems I would need to be sent a heads up on specific material you'd like me to cover with you prior to a given lesson so I can ensure we make effective use of our time and I'm not refreshing my memory with you there. Earlier topics like introductory circuits courses and fpga material I can cover off the top of my head as I use them regularly.
For conflict of interest reasons I can't accept any students at the University of Calgary.
