About Christine
I have been a Special Education Teacher for 2 years. I enjoy working with the elementary students, and I believe that they enjoy working one-on-one with me. I also have one year of preschool teaching experience. I work with over 30 students per day.
Most of my students have gained a positive outlook on the subject they find difficult. Though it is hard for them to learn quickly, they know that it takes time. I remind them of that. We always go over where they started and what progress they have made. We make a big deal of any progress made. One of my proudest moment has been when one of my first graders went from reading 20 words per minute to 70 words per minute by May. She did the hard work. I just showed her that she could do it.

I have my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education with certification in K-6, K-8 Reading Endorsement, and Strategist Level I endorsement for students with mild/moderate disabilities.
I am a very patient teacher who believes every student can learn given the right tools. I believe students learn best when they are given hands-on learning opportunities. Everyone learns at their own rate and everyone has a learning style. I enjoy working with students who are unique and willing to NEVER give up.
Whenever possible, I like to use games and real life connections to make learning fun and applicable.
