About Luke
I have over 12 years of experience teaching flute and believe that music has the power to inspire confidence, creativity, and personal growth. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals who are eager to improve their musical skills through structured and enjoyable lessons.
My teaching method combines communication, creativity, motivation, patience, and personalized instruction. I carefully design each lesson according to the student's ability and learning pace. My classes encourage active participation, practical learning, and continuous progress.
Besides flute, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, breathing techniques, beginner keyboard, sight reading, music appreciation, ensemble performance, and audition preparation. These supporting subjects strengthen students' musical knowledge and performance skills.
I help students improve posture, breathing control, articulation, finger coordination, tone quality, rhythm, and expressive performance. I also provide practice strategies that encourage independent learning and long-term improvement. My mission is to create confident musicians who enjoy music for a lifetime.

My teaching methodology encourages students to develop excellent flute-playing skills through structured lessons and positive encouragement. Communication, Accountability, and Integrity guide my teaching and help create a comfortable learning environment where students feel supported and motivated.
Students begin by learning breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger movement, and tone quality. They gradually progress to rhythm exercises, scales, note reading, articulation, dynamics, phrasing, musical expression, and performance techniques. Regular review sessions help reinforce learning and build confidence.
Communication creates an open classroom where students can ask questions freely and receive clear guidance. Accountability develops discipline through regular practice and personal responsibility. Integrity allows me to teach honestly, patiently, fairly, and with respect for every student's learning journey.
Besides flute, I also teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Staff Notation, Rhythm Training, Breath Management, Instrument Care, Music Appreciation, Performance Skills, and Practice Techniques. These supporting subjects help students become knowledgeable and versatile musicians.
My aim is to help students enjoy every lesson, achieve their musical goals, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
