About Elowen
Teaching flute has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. With 18+ years of teaching and professional experience, I have worked with school and college students from different backgrounds and learning levels. Every student teaches me something new, and I believe that learning is a journey for both the teacher and the student.
I love creating lessons that are friendly, engaging, and easy to follow. I focus on helping students understand the importance of breathing, posture, finger control, rhythm, tone quality, and musical expression. By building strong basics, students gain the confidence to play more challenging pieces in the future.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have celebrated many memorable moments. Watching beginners play their first complete song, helping students prepare for performances, and seeing them improve through regular practice have been some of my proudest milestones. These experiences inspire me to continue giving my best in every class.
I encourage students to enjoy music instead of feeling pressured by it. I motivate them to practice with consistency, stay positive, and believe in their abilities. My classroom is a place where students can learn comfortably, make mistakes without fear, and grow with confidence.
In addition to flute, I teach music theory, ear training, rhythm practice, sight reading, performance techniques, and beginner music concepts. I always adapt my teaching style according to the student's needs so that learning remains effective and enjoyable. My mission is to inspire students to develop a lifelong love for music while achieving their personal learning goals through patience, dedication, and continuous encouragement.

I follow an adaptive and engaging teaching approach for flute, supported by flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. I begin by understanding the student’s goals and learning preferences, then design lessons that are both effective and enjoyable.
I focus on essential techniques such as breathing, tone production, and finger movement, which are developed through structured exercises. Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to the student’s pace.
Collaboration is encouraged through discussions and creative learning activities. I maintain a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel motivated and confident. In addition to flute, I also teach music theory and rhythm for complete musical growth.
