I bring a calm, direct approach to positional understanding, piece coordination, and defensive technique. Tactical patterns and blunder checking are essential for your growth.

Working with competitive students has sharpened my ability to diagnose errors in middlegame planning and recording and notation. This is a competitive mindset. I am here to help you improve your game.

About the lesson

Winning requires more than intuition, so we prioritize the study of your own matches to find the subtle patterns that currently escape your notice. Seeing your mistakes on a board with a PhD candidate provides the perspective necessary to change your habits. We devote significant time to the specific endgame technique that fits your current rating. Analyzing your own games is the most effective way to build genuine skill after 9 years of teaching.
