About Evan
With over 9 years of experience teaching piano, I have built a strong reputation for dedication and student-focused learning. I teach school and college students, providing structured lessons that promote steady progress. My passion for music drives me to continuously improve my teaching methods and inspire my students.
I have guided many beginners who later performed confidently in school programmes and competitions, which stands as one of my proudest achievements. I emphasise the importance of consistent practice, correct technique, and understanding musical expression.
I create lesson plans that are clear, organised, and easy to follow. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach to suit their needs. My ultimate goal is to develop confident musicians who enjoy playing piano and continue learning with enthusiasm and discipline.

I follow a flexible and student-centred approach to piano teaching that balances technical development, musical expression, and creativity. Motivation helps students stay engaged and confident, while structured practice routines and achievable goals support steady progress.
Communication is interactive and clear, allowing students to understand chord transitions, scale exercises, rhythm patterns, dynamics, articulation, and expressive phrasing with ease. Integrity ensures that lessons are professional, punctual, well-prepared, and focused on real improvement.
Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composing short melodies, and exploring various musical genres. Along with piano, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, and rhythm development to develop complete musicianship.
