About SONU
Hello and Welcome! As an MA Graduate and UGC NET qualified English Literature scholar who has also spent two years intensively preparing for the competitive UPSC examinations, I bring deep academic rigor and highly disciplined learning strategies for my students. Through my intensive civil services preparation, I have mastered a vast, interdisciplinary spectrum of knowledge spanning political science, history, economics, environmental studies, geography and the core sciences.
I chose to teach because I firmly believe knowledge is meant to be shared to empower others. Rather than teaching English Literature in isolation, my multi-disciplinary background allows me to connect text to real world-history, politics and science, fostering true critical thinking. As an English Literature scholar holding a Master of Arts degree who has successfully qualified the UGC-NET exam, I bring university-level standards and rigorous insights to every session.
My teaching approach completely moves away from rote memorization, focusing instead on techniques that break down complex concepts, historical contexts, dense poetry into relatable, engaging concepts. A typical session is structured to ensure complete clarity: we begin with a brief recap of previous topics, transition into an interactive discussion where students practice critical thinking, and conclude with a clear summary of key takeaways.
