My teaching style uses exam practice to diagnose areas of weakness and strength. While areas of weakness are fundamentally important to focus on, areas of strength can be used to instil confidence in students which encourages belief in their learning. Exam practice is also important for teaching how to read questions and to assist with exam nerves. I also review the syllabus of the taught subject myself to create helpful examples, metaphors and imagery for explaining some of the more traditionally challenging aspects of the course.
