About Joanna
Hi there! I completed my engineering physics degree in June 2024 with experience tutoring students up to the undergraduate level. I have a strong background in maths and physics, and I have been through the rigorous International Baccalaureate program, where I excelled in my English and History courses. I have several research experiences in the field of physics (e.g. particle physics at CERN, nanoscale heat transport) but also in education and biomedical engineering, which I would be happy to discuss with eager students. I know how stressful studying can be and am enthusiastic to help students regardless of background and/or ability. Hope to talk to you soon!

Depending on the student, I can adjust my teaching methodology and techniques. A typical lesson plan may involve an initial review of key concepts and then we can go through examples together or practice problems that the student may wish to solve on their own and receive feedback on. I am happy to help students at the undergraduate level, high school level, and younger. I have experience with the typical Canadian high school curriculum as well as the International Baccalaureate program, for which I studied English A: Literature HL, French B SL, History Europe HL, Biology SL, Chemistry HL, Mathematics HL, and of course Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay. At the undergraduate level, I have tutored students in math courses (calculus, linear algebra, etc), physics courses (engineering design, classical mechanics, etc).
