About Kelsey
I have been a teaching assistant at the college level for two years where I was responsible for critiquing student work including statement and essay writing. I have taught over 120 students and have demonstrated proven results in the improvement of essay and statement writing.

I received a Bachelor of Art in English and Philosophy from the University of Florida where I took classes in Shakespeare, Chaucer, and film studies. I am proficient in essay planning and writing, and reading comprehension at the college level and high school level, including IB.
My method is student-centered and focuses on helping the student to evaluate their own work so we can work together to find common solutions to the problems they are having in writing or comprehension. As a teacher, I am patient and encouraging. The emphasis is on the student learning to recognize and correct their own errors while developing their voice and style while at the same time learning to write effectively.
