About Ben
I come from a family of teachers; all my immediate family are teachers or have been involved in education, including some of my aunties and cousins. I really enjoy teaching and feel truly exhilarated when a student understands and enjoys a lesson. At the age of 34 I've done a wide variety of jobs and been in different working environments and experiences. Therefore, I can confidently say that teaching is by far the most enjoyable, rewarding and challenging of those experiences. I am fully committed to education and have immersed myself in it within the last 7 years. I spent 3 years as TA, then completed the PGCE, I did supply work for a year and then have worked at the same school for over 2 years now as a teacher.

English
I'm a hard-working, determined and ambitious fully qualified Primary school teacher who believes passionately in a positive learning experience to help students become the best they can be. I have studied English at degree level and gained my PGCE in Primary Education at the University of the West of England in September 2022. My experience in schools has shaped my development to allow me the knowledge to tailor educational needs. I strongly believe with my experience and skill set I can make tutoring an enjoyable and advantageous experience for your child, enabling them to excel and flourish in and out of school. I focus mainly on the curriculum but also I have an emphasis on creative writing. Building a solid relationship with the child to help them progress effectively is paramount. I specialise in English, English literature, comprehension, essay writing and phonics. Average length of a lesson is 1 hour and due to my skill set I work mainly with primary children however I've been tutoring GCSE and secondary English students for 7 years.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Ben in our primary school for the past few years, and during this time I have seen first-hand the dedication and care he brings to his role. Ben is an incredibly hard-working and committed educator who genuinely puts his pupils at the heart of everything he does. Not only does he provide high-quality academic support, but he also takes the time to understand each child as an individual, offering guidance and encouragement beyond the classroom.
