About Julia
I'm a college graduate with a bachelors degree in English from UTSA. I'm returning to school for a masters in psychology. I also hold an undergraduate certificate in creative writing. In high school, my focus was on accelerated curriculum via dual credit and advanced placement classwork.
I have over a decade of professional experience with 1-on-1 and group education. I have led numerous writing workshops. I have curated public readings of creative work for the Austin Public Library, and my own work is featured within their archives.
I have received post-graduate training through the Texas Teachers certification program, including extensive classroom experience.
As the oldest of five siblings, it's been my pleasure to instill a love of reading and enthusiastic aptitude for writing within my family. I want to share this experience with you, inspiring a sense of a greater connection to humanity that fluent skills in reading and writing can bring.

I believe that when we express ourselves at our most articulate, we gain strength in our voices. I believe that bringing the literary work of others into our lives enriches and enhances our own experiences.
My areas of expertise range from elementary to collegiate, including preparing students for educational transitions.
I teach reading comprehension and analysis, as well as composition and rhetoric, in addition to mastery of targeted endeavors such as college applications, standardized tests, and resumes.
My lessons are tailored to your needs. My teaching techniques are customized for the tasks at hand. I'm skilled in a variety of methods that make working with the English language approachable for everybody.
