Working as a Teaching Assistant at Ilford Ursuline Preparatory School, involved providing teaching support to the class teacher and aiding academic development of key stage 1 pupils in all areas of the National Curriculum, whilst also liaising with teaching assistants as part of a team and utilising own initiative by performing tasks independently according to the dynamics of the classroom, which ensured that effective learning took place. This therefore allowed for the creation of a strong rapport with colleagues and children as well as develop cooperative and professional working relationships. In addition to this, effective teaching strategies were developed to overcome barriers to achievement and success.

This is achieved by ascertaining the subject support needed by the student and the specific examining board followed. I subsequently research the examining board and devise and plan learning materials for tutoring sessions.
