About Lesedi
Hello! I’m a 23-year-old English Literature and Creative Writing graduate with a strong passion for language, storytelling, and helping young people succeed. I specialise in tutoring GCSE English Language and Literature for students aged 14 to 17, with a focus on building exam confidence and a deeper understanding of texts and writing techniques. In my spare time, I enjoy reading a wide range of fiction, writing short stories, and staying active — I especially love running and spending time outdoors. I also value good conversation and enjoy building strong, supportive connections with my students. My Approach to Tutoring As an English Literature and Creative Writing graduate with experience tutoring students aged 14–17, I specialise in preparing students for their GCSE English Language and Literature exams. My lessons are designed to be structured, targeted, and highly personalised, with a strong focus on building exam confidence and long-term skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. Teaching Methodology Each lesson is built around the specific exam requirements of major UK exam boards (e.g. AQA, Edexcel), ensuring that students become familiar with question formats, assessment objectives, and the skills needed for high achievement. I begin by assessing the student’s strengths and areas for improvement through discussion, sample work, and informal exercises. From there, I design lessons that are: Tailored to the individual: adapting content and pacing to match the student's learning style and needs Exam-focused: using past paper questions, timed practice, and model answers to build exam technique Interactive and engaging: encouraging students to ask questions, express their ideas, and build confidence in both analysis and creativity I also provide constructive feedback and simple, clear strategies to help students approach their exams with clarity and structure.
