About Nick
I am an artist and recent English Literature and Creative Writing graduate, about to study an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. I achieved a 1st in the BA I have just completed, having achieved as high as 84% in some of my assessments. I am passionate about contemporary art and writing practices and am extremely excited to share that passion. My work has been featured in a number of exhibitions and publications, and I am always working towards completing new projects and putting on new events. My ethos as an artist is one of collaboration and inclusivity which are principles I abide by in every pursuit, including tutoring.

I aim to achieve not only steep improvement as a result of my lessons, but also to instil a lasting passion for the subjects I teach. My literature tutelage is suitable primarily for GCSE and A Level students, however I can provide lessons in creative writing and visual arts for aspiring artists of any age (based upon an extremely contemporary approach). Students will be asked to take a creative approach, with the aim being to convince the student that their work and interpretations are as valid as any they have read, no matter their age, level, education, or any other given factor. By this I do not mean I will ask students to discount what they have already learnt, but instead teach them to challenge what they know, and apply their own understanding (cultivated in respect of their unique perspective) to achieve work that will excite not only examiners, but themselves. My lesson plans, across all subjects, are highly inspired by my lessons as a creative writing student (structured as workshops). In these kinds of lessons constant feedback is given in a conversational and collaborative experience. The kind of feedback I give encourages what has been achieved, but always asks for more.
